My father and I went down in January to do some cleaning up and some assessment on work to do and things to buy.  Bayou Bob met us down in Jennings.  We did some general cleaning up and prepared to have a yard tug move us to the South Yard

The first thing we did was have the Tug moved to the south yard.  He we are pulling away from the dock with the help of the yard tug.

Once at the South Yard, we hooked up to yard air, and electric so we had lights to work with.  We pumped out some water and "bilge butter".  Most of the day was spent learning and figuring out the piping systems.

We prelubed the main engine and turned it over a few times on air.  After that seemed nice, we turned on the fuel and pumped up the fuel rail.  The engine turned over about 3 seconds and fired right up.

Sounds great!!!!

Some happy boys.  Through out the trip, the engine ran about two hours total.

Most of the day was spent cleaning up.  We finished removing a bunch of wood, removed some piping that was no use.  The big thing was working on the generator.  The 2-71 Genset is reported to be burned up but it doesn't show any signs of smoke and flames.  We are considering that it is wired incorrectly.  The 2-71 will run on ether, but the injectors are definitely no good.

Basically finished cleaning up, returned pump, hoses, and cords to shipyard.  We made drawings and lists of things to do next time.
